Airports & malls: common questions

Ask us directly

What brightness is needed for an atrium or concourse display?

Atriums and concourses carry high ambient light from skylights and glazing, so indoor-rated panels at 600–1200 nits often wash out. Displays in daylight-flooded public areas need higher brightness, up to 4500–7000 nits for genuinely sun-exposed positions. NexGlow specifies brightness against conditions at the actual mounting point rather than by indoor-versus-outdoor category.

What pixel pitch suits large public spaces?

Pitch is set by viewing distance, and public spaces are read from further back than most interiors. P2.5 to P6 typically suits concourse and atrium displays read from 5–15 metres, with finer pitch reserved for screens people stand close to, such as wayfinding standees. NexGlow supplies P0.9–P2.5 indoor and P2.5–P10 outdoor.

Can displays run continuously without downtime?

Installations are designed for 24×7 operation, and NexGlow's delivered municipal display was commissioned with 48 hours of continuous testing at full brightness before handover. Panels support front and rear serviceability so individual modules are replaced without taking the whole display offline, and cloud management allows remote diagnostics.

How much does a large-format public display cost?

It depends on your requirement: display area, pitch and brightness, plus the structure a large-format screen needs, which NexGlow engineers in-house. Quotes are fixed and all-inclusive.
